The Stand with Estela Drive-Through Health Fair

From the Event:

Albertsons, Estela Casas and the Stand With Estela Fund in the El Paso Community Foundation are going mobile for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They will host a drive-through health fair from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24 at Viva Ford, 5500 N. Desert Boulevard.

The Stand with Estela Drive-Through Health Fair will give free flu shots to the first 500 people who drive up to the west side Ford dealership, part of the Viva Auto Group.

Three lanes will be available for the free flu shots, which will be administered by Albertsons pharmacists and techs. An additional lane will distribute vouchers for free 3D mammograms at the University Medical Center to the first 500 uninsured women over 40 who drive through. Breast cancer information also will be distributed to health fair participants.

The health fair is in addition to an October-long promotion by Albertsons, which is accepting donations for the fund at pin pads in its El Paso and Las Cruces stores.

The Stand With Estela Fund was established in the El Paso Community Foundation in 2017 by Albertsons, KVIA and KVIA’s owners to honor former news anchor Estela Casas’ victory over breast cancer. It provides financial support for women fighting breast cancer as well as breast cancer research. Visit standwithestela.org or epcf.org/estela for information or to donate to the fund.
