In June, Santiago Alonzo, owner of the Italian Kitchen (on Thorn, where NorthWestern becomes Bartlett on the west side) began using his portable kitchen serving trailer in his Restaurant's parking lot on Saturday and Sunday mornings beetween 8:00AM and Noon serving Fresh Menudo To Go. That's when BOBCAT'S addiction began!!!!

The first week Santiago (pictured with server, Alma) used 30-pounds of stomach tripe but, now 4-months later, it's over 200-pounds per week and growing! In August, he added Pozole to the outside menu. Now, customers arrive with their empty cooking pots for both! And, Santiago has just added even more selections this month, causing the need for a new sign!
One strange side-note: Even though everything is prepared inside the Italian Kitchen and only served from the trailer, on the weekends Santiago takes the trailer to a street fair, rodeo or other event, no one goes into the restaurant to pick up their weekly comidas sabrosas, even though Santiago had a giant sandwich board made saying the menudo & pozole were availabe inside!
