LaRoche gets Motivated to Win by Aldean
During the tied game between the Nationals and the Miami Marlins Adam LaRoche only had one thing in mind and that’s getting to WMZQ Fall Fest to see Jason Aldean. They managed to win the game 7-6. LaRoche was able to steal third base after a hit into right field and said that getting to the concert was what motivated him to steal that base. LaRoche said “We had a bus waiting for us, so the whole team could go, so we’re all like, ’let’s get a W real quick and get out of here.’”

Robin Hood Robbery
A couple of bank robbers were arrested in Southern California on Wednesday after a very bizarre high speed chase. The bank robbers started pouring the money out the window of their speeding car as they drove through some of the smaller neighborhoods of Lops Angeles.

Second Beaver Attack in a Week
There has been a second beaver attack in this country this week in Fairfax. The attack happened on Saturday during the park’s Saturday Safari program. There were about four to five children in the group of people that the beaver lunged at, however no one was hurt and the kid’s parents got them out of there quickly. Animal control arrived on the scene promptly and shot the beaver and had it tested and it was tested positive for rabies.

Soda Law Goes Up For Vote
The New York City ban on sodas and other sugary drinks being sold in cups larger than 16 ounces goes up for a vote today. The ban is part of the cities effort to help fight obesity. However some people feel like the law unjustly attacks soda and may hurt some business like movie theaters.

Obama gets Bear Hugged in Florida
This week Boxer will be talking to Scott Van Duzer, who bear hugged Obama when the president visited his pizza shop located in Fort Pierce, FL. He said that the secret service was okay with it as long as he didn’t walk off with the president.

Kenny Chesney has a Busy Fall ahead of Him
Kenny just got off of a 23 date stadium summer tour but is not losing steam yet. He has not only been nominated for Music Video of the Year by the CMAs for his video of “Come Over”, but he also released a new single “El Cerrito Place” and that’s just so far in the month of September. On the 2nd he’ll be appearing with Willie Nelson and Neil Young at Farm aid and on the 24th the Academy of Country Music will be honoring him with the Milestone Award.
