At 12:01 am Thursday morning the state law in Washington went into effect that it was legal to grow, sell and smoke marijuana. Many people took to the streets of Seattle to collectively smoke the plant, risking charges that could be brought on by the federal government. Colorado is the next state taking steps to leagalize marijuana on the state level.
